Updated Database Now Live
Hi! Nick Gray here with a nice update. We’ve been working hard over the last six weeks to totally redesign our patron and donor database.
I think I’ve spent many thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours of programming and data review.
Our servers have scanned and imported thousands of pages of new source material.
Now I’m happy to officially release this new version of the PatronView website.

What’s New
The updated website features:
- An entirely new patron record database
- Drastically improved accuracy
- A new framework and back-end to help us grow to over 1,000,000 donor database records
Today we’re launching with 170,000 contributions inside the database, doubling our previous site.
Improved Accuracy
The new database now has over a 95% accuracy rating.
That’s a huge improvement from when we launched the site. At that time we estimated it was closer to only 90% accurate.
I even believe we can make some small edits to get things closer to a 98% accuracy.
Our internal tests show that most of our imports have over 98% accuracy now, but I’m calling today’s release 95% just to be safe until further testing is confirmed.
I’ll detail what elements we find inaccuracies in another post soon.
What’s Next
The next thing we’re working on is improving the individual Patron pages to display more information that’s in the new database.
That includes new detailed information such as:
- Page numbers for source material
- New sub-tier and sub-sub-tier information
- Improved donation ranges

More to come. But this has been HUGE. I can’t wait to write about it, technically, to talk about all the new things the software has to help us grow.
